Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound (CSOPS) is a non-profit 501c3 and has been in existence since 1987. CSOPS is a parntership between the Police, the Media and the Public to help reduce crime, capture wanted suspects and create safer communities. (please view the attached Situational Awareness video produced by CSOPS) We have expanded our public safety role by combatting Transnational Crimes such as Human Trafficking, Terrorism, Illicit Trade, Arms Dealing and Narcotics Smuggling; crimes that affect communities in our region and beyond. CSOPS has taken its fight to the source of these crimes and where corruption allows this to flourish.
We are in partnership with Anderson Software, a tech company that has developed the P3 APP that allows citizens to report crime ANONYMOUSLY. (a free downloadable APP) This is especially important in Developing Countries where citizens are afraid to report crime due to fear of reprisal.
CSOPS has already completed a "test study" in the Balkans where these countries allow Transnational Crime activity to enter Western Europe and subsequently into the United States. As a result of our study, more than 40 ANONYMOUS Tips have been received from the region and are being investigated by Trusted Police Partners in the Balkans.
We need to continue in this effort and need your help and support. Your donation will help CSOPS pay ANONYMOUS Tipsters in the Balkans where, otherwise, funding is difficult to obtain and will also help us expand into other regions of the Globe. In addition, with your help, we can fund Public Service Announcements in these regions to educate the public regarding the APP and demsonstrate to them how to report criminal activity.
By working together, we can truly make a difference in stopping these horrific crimes. When deciding to help, please ask yourself the question: "How much would I spend to rescue my daughter from a Human Trafficker?"
