We run to bring a new wave of attention to the ongoing destruction of nature and forests in Borneo and all around the world. We want to encourage and motivate all people to become more active in social and environmental projects.
With this run across Borneo, we gather donations for our partner organisations. We support 5 conservation projects in Borneo, Malaysia and Indonesia. The run is already funded, all donations will be delivered 100% to our partners!
Borneo is a real natural paradise! Sadly, the exploitation of nature still continues, and the last tropical rainforests in the region are under threat. Elephants, Orang Utans, Rhinos, Leopards, Monkeys, countless birds and insects and the biggest tropical trees in the world are living here!
Logging and Palm Oil Plantations are the main causes of forest destruction in Malaysia and Indonesia. In a time where climate change and extreme weather is shattering the world, we need the forests more than ever. We should grow forests all over the world, not destroy them. Stabilization of climate, CO²-Storage, Water storage and purification, soil stabilization, diversity, tourism and recreation are just a few of the important functions of the forests.
STOP THE DESTRUCTION OF THE FOREST AND NATURAL HABITATS IN BORNEO AND ALL AROUND THE WORLD!

3. PEKA Malaysia - Temiar native peoples- blockade against loggers & funds for court case, Malaysia (2.000US$)
