Spay & neutering for kitties

Donation protected

I no longer have the colony that you see in the pictue.  I was unfortunately force to stop what I was doing there.  I relocated them to a safe place and kept several.   I continue to do TNR and place as many as I can into homes but now it's wherever I see cats that need help and mostly in Somerset where I live.  There are so many homeless cats everywhere and it is so heartbreaking that they are breeding, starving and left to fend for themselves.

This is only about half of the cats I feed everyday for many years and just one of the colonies that live on the bike trails of Somerset County.  I provide medical care when I am able to catch them, find homes for them when I can and make shelters for the harsh winters.  I do get some donations of food and money from kind people who see me care for these furbabies.  I have tried to get organizations to rescue them but have been unsuccessful.  I feel responsible to take this to the next level and start a trap and release program to spay and neuter them.   I have done this successfully closer to my home fixing 9 cats, unfortunately it is to costly for me to continue to do this on my own (a lady help with some of the cost) plus make sure they eat and receive medical care when I am able.  I currently care for those 9 cats taking up residence on my street, plus my 6 house cats and a dog and they are very expensive so I'm reaching out to the animal lovers out there.  My goal is to spay and neuter the trail cat colony in the photo and raise money to continue the process where ever the need is. I would be so grateful for your help.  I love these animals dearly and don't want harm to come to them because they are multiplying constantly and many people consider them a nuisance.  Thank you! 2019 update: I am still spaying and neutering cats here on the trail. Until people stop dumping and the people who live here start to fix their cats the problem only continues. I've placed many into homes, about 17 live here all the time now and they are all fixed. I'm also helping to spay and neuter strays in Somerset County.
