Tragic loss of beloved parents

My name is Alyssa, and it is with deep sadness that I am creating this campaign for my long time family friends whom I grew up with in Surrey BC.
The morning of March 29th 2019, a tragic and heart breaking incident lead to the passing of two beloved parents that left three amazing children without a mother or father.
Nona McEwan, a loving, sweet and kind hearted woman who would give the shirt off her back for you. She was held against her will in her Surrey home in a domestic dispute with her long time on-again-off-again partner Randy Crosson.
The 10 hour hostage that involved 2 dozen police vehicles, a number of swat vehicles and a negotiator, came to a horrific end envolving gun fire. Now, three children, Tyler, 26, Brandon ,22, and the youngest Jenna,16, whom they shared together, are now having to endure something that no child should ever have to live with.
How terrifying and sad that a child has become an orphan just like that, in the blink of an eye.
These kids are some of the strongest, smartest, loving and genuine people you'll ever meet. Life hasn't always been easy for them growing up, as I'm sure some of you may know. But, even through the toughest of times, the thing that kept them strong and continues to is family!
They are unbelievably grateful for all the love and support during this very difficult time and want to thank everyone who has reached out and offered their help in any way they can.
We want to set up this page to help with funeral and memorial expenses and any kind of care or counselling that the children may need.
Payments will be accepted through Nona's daughter-in-law Melissa Ketch whom I've listed as the beneficiary. Anything helps and they all thank you so much for your generosity and condolences.
