Tracie's brain surgery

Donation protected
I am submitting this on behalf of my very good friend, Tracie. She is, without a doubt, the most dedicated, giving, selfless person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I asked her to submit her story to me so I could share. Her surgery is scheduled for Feb 23rd in Milwaukee, WI. Please help if you can!!!

Tracie's story:
I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation in 2009.  After spending months in a complete vertigo state along with migraines every day, we opted for the Chiari Malformation Decompression surgery.  My surgery was March 2010 and after a couple weeks, my doctor noticed I had a Pseudomeningocele (spinal fluid leak). Upon this finding, I was rushed into an emergency brain surgery.  After a long 8 months or recovery, I was able to return to work. However, I never did feel better and never saw a day without headaches, or vertigo symptoms.  But after being off of work for 8 months, the personal and medical bills were sky high.  I felt like I had to push through the pain every day.  In 2014, I couldn’t go on anymore and decided to seek out the best Chiari Malformation surgeon in the state.  When I went to see him, he right away diagnosed me with a Tethered Spinal Cord, Syringomyelia, and also reported that the first decompression surgery in 2010 was unsuccessful and my brain had begun to sag again and that the Chiari Malformation Decompression surgery would have to be repeated.  One step at a time, I had the tethered spinal cord surgery right away as this was the most life threating at that time.  Again, after a lengthy time away from work, we found ourselves buried in personal and medical bills.  So I decided to keep going, pushing through the pain day by day and putting off the Chiari Malformation Decompression surgery.  At this point in time, my body is saying “no more!!” No more will it continue to push through the pain.  I am having bladder and bowel problems which are related to the pressure and pulling of my brain and spinal cord.  It is time I have to have the Chiari Malformation surgery. My body won’t let me go on this way any longer.  This will be my 3rd brain surgery.  Again, my personal bills, medical bills and time away from work has the most stressful impact on our family. I ask for any help to get my family through this hard time. I am the hardest working person. I have always had 2 jobs. I have 3 kids and I am always taking time to help any and all family and friends. However, I am left drained emotionally & financially and feeling completely hopeless.
