Hi - I'm Traci Strickland, a Brooklyn resident selected by the campaign to attend the Democratic National Convention as an at-large delegate pledged to Bernie for New York.
Who, me?
I've been involved with the grassroots campaign since last summer, affiliated with Team Bernie NY. I've been involved as a volunteer in many different ways, including flyering last fall, petitioning in the dead of winter, and voter registration/canvassing this spring.
After all that, I'm excited to attend the convention this July and do my part in ensuring the message of the movement is carried forward to the general election and beyond. (Feel the Bern!)
Unfortunately, the costs of attending the convention are MUCH higher than I anticipated, hence my reaching out for help.
All money raised will be used to pay travel, hotel, meal, and other convention-related expenses. (Delegates are required to stay in a $450+tax/night hotel, eek!)

I’ve had the honor of working with SO many other amazing people in this Bernie voyage. Several of them were also chosen to be delegates. For starters, my co-captain for Congressional District 7 petitioning efforts and head of Latinos for Bernie NYC, Carmen Hulbert.
There are FEC limits on joint fundraising, so all the delegates have separate fundraisers going (I'll post a link here when available), but I encourage you to contribute to other delegates' campaigns if you are able as well.
Please note that if I raise more than I need, I will share excess funds I raise with Carmen and/or other Bernie delegates to ensure we can all be there in Philly!

Thank you so much for any support you are able to offer! Please note that FEC rules require that donors be individuals who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents (green card holders). Corporations, labor organizations, and sole proprietors who are government contractors may not donate.
