To my personal friends and friends of Loteria Grill and Torta Company,
The earthquake in Mexico has caused damages and pain beyond measure. There are innumerable calls for donations and prayer.
Here is how Loteria Grill and Torta Company will be helping our compatriots in Mexico City and we ask for your participation. Of course, the damage and pain extends beyond Mexico City, but this is where we can help most.
We have started a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to buy and distribute Tortas (Mexican Sandwiches) for victims and volunteers in Mexico City. Our goal is to fund 500 Tortas daily for each of the next 7 days. We are asking our friends and Guests to contribute anything you can to help. Each Torta costs $2. We will fund here and my brother Andy, in Mexico City, will coordinate the purchase, production, and distribution of the Tortas to the Centros de Acopio, the Collection Centers set up across the City to receive and distribute the generous food, medicine, clothing and materials Mexicans are contributing to help those most affected by this terrible disaster.
