Top of the Nine is a unique event space aimed at offering a sense of nostalgia to Bangor with a classic lounge space for neighbors to gather, attend a scheduled Nine event, rent out our lounge space for their parties, anniversaries, art exhibits, guest lectures, etc.
Bangor is growing into a beautiful array of micro brewers and lovely eateries. We want to give our neighbors more options and the opportunity to do *more* downtown before or after a night out to eat or drink! Experiences are what life is about, create some memories and let us help you do it!
Some of the planned activities include art workshops both for adults and kids after school, seminars, guest artists and lectures, open mic night, community dances, local musician showcases, and much more!
Top of the Nine is excited to announce we have found the sweet ground floor location we promised! The landlord has had code visit multiple times for inspections. Last check on the docket is the handle for the ADA compliant bathroom's flush and we are good. Now comes the hard part. Ha... She needs some TLC...as most spaces do in a town as old as Bangor. We would like to provide the design touches we created for the Nine at 9 Central street in our ground floor location. Our first time out of the gate we asked for no help from any of you. Our goal is not to get rich. Obviously....But this time we are needing help to make our dream a reality.
Our mission is to create a community "watering hole" so to say. A place that once used to be reserved for the town halls or grange halls of days gone by. In a world increasingly caught away in social media, the Nine aims to reconnect us to our neighbors thru events.
What do we need? Well..
* New click link flooring waterproof
* Paint
* Furniture
* Trim work
The floor alone we priced out at $1,400 for our cheapest option. Paint will run us around $250-300 and then the rest for sweet design elements we wish to decorate the space with...we want this to be a spot you're proud to say you helped rise from the ashes. :)
Forgoing a coffee for the week and throwing $5 is honestly amazing even. Love you all and thank you for any help you can send our way to make this dream a reality for Bangor!
