My name is Thomasina Vaughn Maultsby, I am the mother of Martinez Terrell Vaughn. As his mother, I loved him more than words can ever say or express, he was my first born, I had him at the young age of 16. I raised him alone without a father, I was his mother and father. I did the best I could with him, as a young mother, I tried my best to make sure that he had a stable home, clothes on his back and food in his stomach. That was then and now this is my present day and all I want is justice for my son.
My son was born at New Hanover Medical Center in Wilmington, NC on July 26th, 1988. While he didn’t talk much and kept most of his time to himself, he was a very happy child. As he got older he grew an interest for music so most of his time was spent writing and doing shows. But he had gotten into some legal problems that he was trying to get help for and get fixed.
He was very much loved by many, he was a great person he did not bother anyone. He would give his last to anyone that needed help or needed a listening ear. He was also a ladies man, very handsome (I don’t say that because he is my son, but he was), and he was also trustworthy. He also has 2 biological brothers,2 half brothers that love him very much and would do anything for him as he would for them.
He was 26 years old with 4 beautiful children, he was also an amazing and loving father/brother/son and on September 30th, 2014 he was taken from all of that God only knows why and or what. I have lost my son, my sons have lost a brother, my grandkids have lost a father and all I want is justice for my son.
At the end of the day I hate to bother anyone with my financial burden, but when my son was taken from me no one thought about what was to come next. Funeral, burial and any other expense that is due to his death and till this day he does not have a headstone because of the financial strain.
This is to raise funds to help Mart TooFly Vaughn’s family cover the rest of the funeral expenses for this absolutely senseless act. All funds raised will go directly to Mart’s mother Thomasina for the rest of the funeral cost and headstone. Any prayers, donations, and/or shares would be so greatly appreciated.
