Too sweet to be going through this

Last week I convinced my sister to take in an amazing dog that was dropped off on the side of the road, she was hestitant but she had him brought over to feel him out and she fell in love with how sweet he is and no one can understand why someone would just abandon him. They named him Jinks and he's the sweetest boy! Their other dog Whiskey now has a best friend and the are since inseparable. This morning I get the phone call that he was shot so I rushed over and he's covered in blood. We took him to the vet and had X-rays taken, he has a broken / fractured left leg and gun shot through the back under the backbone which fractured that bone as well. The people that witnessed it said he was just simply walking by the guys yard so he wasn't threatened he just didn't like the dog being near. This guy has been known to shoot people's dog for no good reason but police can't do anything because the dog was in his yard and apparently you do not need a good reason. Jinks is a such a great dog and did not deserve this so please let's come together and help this boy get back to being awesome! Anything will help and anything that isn't used for his care will be donated to a rescue to help another dog in need. Thank you in advance!
