This is our mom. The most loving, selfless person you will ever meet. She has never met a stranger and has dedicated her life to helping others through teaching at-risk students for years, coaching teen moms in their home, teaching ESL classes at night, teaching countless Bible studies to women and teens, coaching hundreds of adults on how to lose weight and live a healthy lifestyle, opening her home to numerous people over the years to live for free, cooking thousands of meals for people, being a shoulder to cry on, providing her home as a place of rest for people going through cancer treatment from out of state, being at any place at any time for anything her kids, husband or friends need, and the list goes on.

Now, she is the one who needs help. On Christmas Day she had a grand mal seizure that led to the discovery of a grade 4 glioblastoma in the language and motor section of her brain. This tumor is inoperable. Her diagnosis is grim but our outlook is hopeful! We know God is with her through every step. He is with her while she is in complete darkness to keep seizures away. He is with her as she endures sometimes 4 seizures a day despite all the medication and precautions we can provide. He is with her as she has lost her ability to talk. He is with her as she has lost her ability to walk. He is with my dad as he is caring for her every need 24 hours a day in the midst of searching for a job. He is with her as we hold her hand and cry out of frustration because we cannot fix this.

But what we can do is help alleviate the financial burden. Dad has been without a job since June of last year and Mom will most likely never be able to work again. There is not any income coming in and their expenses have incresed dramatically. There are expenses at every turn from gas driving downtown twice a day 5 days a week,  parking fees, meals, medical bills from 4 hospital stays, tests, radiation therapy, medication, etc. As the bills come in, it seems insurmountable and hopeless. But we know God can conquer anything and He is a good God, no matter what the outcome.

If you feel led, we would be so thankful for your donation. It is truly easier to give than to receive and while this is very uncomfortable for us, we are truly in need and would be truly, truly grateful. All funds will go directly to the costs of fighting for HOPE and HEALING for Toni Peeler. She is our rock and we would be eternally grateful for anything that would contribute to her journey of beating cancer.
