Tommy Redfearn Cancer Relief Fund

Donation protected
9/30/2019 I wanted to send out a follow up on Tommy this morning since he is starting his 3rd treatment of chemo this morning. Overall there are 6 total chemo treatments that have to be completed and each treatment last 3 weeks. During week 1 he feels awful, but by week 3 he is back to normal. Just enough time to prep for the next round of treatment. Since his surgery, he has been able to get around like a new man and continues to do his own grocery shopping, errand running etc, the main issue he faces is his lack of weight gain, but continues to eat as much as he can. So far he hasn't lost any of his luscious gray hair! We are so proud of Tommy and the way he has handled this entire ordeal and continues to keep a positive outlook. This could not have been possible without the help of all of the kind donations, & prayers of family, friends and strangers. God bless you all!

As of July 7th, Tommy has been up and walking around recovering from surgery. His doctor was confident in the surgery and believes that he and his team were able to remove the cancer. His recovery time is expected to be several months. Keep your eyes open for updates!  Thanks.

————————————————————————————————————————————

As many of you may know by now, Tommy Redfearn, my father, and friend of many has been recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Rectal Cancer. He is currently halfway through his chemo and radiation treatment and will be preparing for surgical removal in the near future.

Currently, Tommy is having trouble eating/maintaining weight and has real low energy levels, but all things considered has a positive attitude. He and the doctors are optimistic of a successful recovery.

Many family members and friends have graciously reached out asking how they can help, so myself, Jack and Beverly Griffin have decided to team up and help crowd fund for Tommy’s cause. (Thank you Jack, and Bev)

The funds raised will be added to a new bank account in his name to help cover his medical/insurance/rent/food expenses. This bank account is up and running and will be updated in real time.

If you know Tommy, then you know he would “NEVER ASK FOR HELP”. He doesn’t want people to feel sorry for him and has been a working man since 13! That’s why we all are his voice of reason!

Currently, Tommy isn’t able to work full time, and despite being diagnosed with cancer has been trying to work part time at home assisting with designing for Texas Outdoor Oasis in Rockwall, TX. ( Huge Thanks to Casey Laughlin and his team) for continuing to help him through this ordeal. We are forever grateful.

We will keep everyone posted when we know any new updates. Please add Tommy to your prayer list and consider donating anything you can. Everything counts!

Please share this post :)

Thanks,

Bret Redfearn

In the future, we may consider trying to host a benefit in Rockwall to raise funds but currently this is the first step.  If you want to reach out about helping coordinate a benefit for Tommy, it would be greatly appreciated. Let us know!.
