Tommy Ellis Mellerick was born on 9th July 2019. Tommy was very poorly with a number of health problems and sadly lost his life a day later. Tommy was a very special little boy and we have no words to describe the love we have for him.
The support we had for Tommy throughout his short life was immeasurable. The whole team at the Birmingham Womens Hospital were amazing, especially those at the Neonatal Unit. We cannot thank the doctors and nurses who cared for Tommy enough. They provided him with the highest care and made the time we had with him very special. The staff allowed us time with Tommy to make special memories and enjoy the moments we had with him. They made the unthinkable a happy time.
We also gained a lot of comfort from the memory box provided by 4louis. 4louis provide memory boxes and other items free of charge to hospitals across the UK for parents who suffer the trauma of miscarriage, stillbirth and child loss. This box contained everything we needed to make memories with Tommy and gave us something treasure. This is not something we would have ever thought of but we have gained great comfort from it.
We would like to raise money for Birmingham womens neonatal unit and 4louis in Tommy's memory.
