On August 22nd 2015, Thomas and I (Bean) experienced something uncanny, unsettling, and totally unexpected... we met eachother.
Our meeting was unusual, which stands to reason considering we are both fairly unusual individuals. I knew immediately that I'd somehow stumbled upon my new best friend, someone who was going to be a part of my life for a very long time. It was as if we were connected telepathically. For lack of a better explanation, Tom is my soulmate and I'm his.
We've both struggled monumentally in life. Growing up in broken homes, in poverty, dealing with homelessness, addiction, mental health problems, and disability. Together we've overcome so many of these challenges and setbacks. With the support of one another, we rise together and strive for safety and stability. We are a team and we are so in love.
September 9th 2017, we will be pledging ourselves to eachother until death do us part. we're both currently studying at post-secondary institutes (hairstyling for me and Marketing for Tom). Alongside the natural duress of study, my physical disability (Nemaline rod Myopathy https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nemaline_myopathy) has prevented me from working full time for a few years now. Unfortunately the disability I live with is degenerative. There is no known cure and things are realistically only going to go downhill from here. However!! We are staying positive and determined to fill every waking moment between now and the end with friends, family, fun, and love.
And so: in lieu of wedding gifts, we are suggesting that those who wish to bless us with charity donate to our honeymoon fund. We intend to road-trip throughout BC following my graduation next August (around the anniversary of our meeting).
