Tom and Taylor

Tom and Taylor are a young Alliston couple who have been trying to find an apartment or house for rent in Alliston for months. They are expecting a child in March and it is imperative that they find a place before then. They recently posted an ad looking for a place to rent stating they were a young couple with a baby on the way and had first and last months rent available. Someone took advantage of this and offered them a house to rent for $1300.00 all inclusive and insisted the lease be signed that night and payment the following day. The payment was first and last so it was $2600.00 total they paid. Two days later they received an email requesting another payment for two more months which is when they approached me for advice. I immediately phoned the police because I felt they were being taken advantage of. After this I drove to the address of the house they were supposedly renting and rang the doorbell. When the door open an older man greeted me and I asked him if his house was for rent and he replied "no". I then shared the story of Tom and Taylor and he invited me in to look around. It was not the same house as the pictures. He felt terrible. This man that rented the house to them found the address online and lured them in and stole most of their savings. I just want to help this young couple out to help them get some of their money back before their child comes so they can find a home for their family. Any donation is appreciated. Thank you.
