Together for Amira-Unidos por Amira

As many of you may know, our friend Amira was involved in a tragic car accident on February 2016. She was on the highway on her way to work when a trailer struck her vehicle. Her vehicle was totaled, but thank God Amira made it out alive. She has been in the hospital since and has undergone several surgeries. Unfortunately, because of the impact of the car accident, her left leg was amputated.
Amira is only 22 years old with a full life ahead of her. She is a very energetic, positive and happy soul with a very active lifestyle. We want her to continue to live her life how she's always lived it.
We are asking for your donation to purchase a prosthetic leg. This is a very expensive necessity and we want to make it possible for her quality of life to be like it was before. Her leg is currently healing and she will be needing the prosthetic leg once her wounds have healed. This can be as soon as two months and we need the funds as soon as possible so the process can begin.
This would mean the world to everyone who loves Amira. We want her to get back to her active life doing the things she loves most and doing the small things we may all take for granted.

Como muchos de ustedes saben nuestra amiga Amira estuvo involucrada en un trágico accidente de auto en Febrero del 2016. Ella estaba en camino al trabajo cuando un tráiler golpeó su auto. Su auto quedó destrozado pero gracias a Dios, Amira sobrevivió. Desde entonces ella ha estado en el hospital y se le han hecho varias operaciones. Desafortunadamente, debido al accidente ella perdió su pierna izquierda.
Amira es una joven de sólo 22 años de edad con una vida completa por delante. Ella tiene un alma positiva, es muy alegre y siempre tiene una sonrisa contagiosa. Queremos que ella siga viviendo su vida como lo ha hecho siempre.
Estamos pidiendo su donación para comprarle una prótesis para su pierna. Esta es una necesidad muy cara y queremos hacer lo posible que su calidad de vida sea como lo era antes. Su pierna sigue sanando y se necesitará la prótesis una vez que haya sanado por completo, esto puede ser tan pronto como dos meses.
Esto significaría mucho para Amira y para todos los que la queremos. Quisiéramos que ella vuelva a su vida activa, haciendo las cosas que mas le gusta. Se le agradeceria su donación de todo corazón...
