Toddy's Surgery Fund
$8,701 of $8,000 goal
This condition presents us with two options:
1: is to put him down ( which I refuse to do)
2: let him go through a very specialized surgery.
The surgery however, will cost around $8000. So I am humbley asking you to donate anything. Anything would be greatly appreciated.
Until our sweet violet hurt her leg (ACL,) I didn't realize just how much she meant to us. I'm sitting here giving her meds until we can raise the funds for her surgery. So looking at all the gofundme pet pages is heartbreaking. Cause I realize now, these pets are the best! They ask for nothing, and only care about us and providing us comfort. God is awesome!
I have rescued many dogs (German shepherds, Rottweilers, Lab and Golden retrievers) here in Taiwan with severe hip dysplasia, tripping and stumbling on their own back legs and dragging their feet so the tops of their paws start getting rubbed away. All were running and jumping and playing within two months just by switching to a raw diet. It really works; bone helps repair bone. Please consider trying that before (and certainly after) surgery. Feel free to message me for more info. Best of luck to you and Toddy.
Chow Chows are direct descendants from Chinese wolves “2000 years ago”, I once read that at VCA animal hospital. My Chow Chow had many health issues, oddly in her case it was due to allergies. Dogs are allergic to various degrees to grains which are present in most dog foods. Best to always read the labels and do the research. Your Chow Chow after surgery will try to recover too fast. Be careful keep an eye on the speed because he will convince you he is read to run and play full speed ahead when he is not really ready. It is best to keep the Vets advice, slow pace and he will whine but it is for his benefit. My Chow Chow had to have both tendons replaced a sports type injury. Hilarious, after surgery she literally was done being at the hospital and decided to bolt for the door, a real escape artist. LOL. - Remember to keep a good eye on him, or he might have to return for more surgery. Once you get the full okay, all is awesome. ;)
