Todd Kayal's Story

Donation protected
On April 11th 2017, Todd, was in a motorcycle accident. He suffered a traumatic spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the chest down. After three critical surgeries to stabilize his cervical vertebrae he has been transfered to Kessler in West Orange for intense rehab. It is his best chance to regain optimal movement in his arms and hands which remain limited at this time. Todd is a Sheriffs Officer who  has dedicated the last 25 years of his life to public service, he is the father of two children. He is  supported by his family with a strong faith  and unwavering trust in Jesus Christ. We know that Todds life was spared that day on the roadside, we know the future, although challenging, will be manageable because of the support of those who love and care for Todd!

According to the Dana and Christopher Reeves foundation the average expense for the first year of a tetraplegia patient can exceed 1 million dollars. This includes handicap modifications to his home, handicap transportation, Home Health Care assistance, as well as equipment needed to support in his every day life. Many of you have been so kind and asked how you can help aside from your unwaiving prayers.

The road ahead is costly and long. Your support will help immensely and relieve the financial burden that this injury incurs. Todd and his family can focus on his rehabilation and quality of life with your help. We sincerely appreciate the overwhelming demonstration of support,  the prayers, and all the love we have felt! With much heartfelt sincerity we thank you all so much! From our family to yours, love and thanks!
