Todd Mickens Brain Surgery

My good friend Todd, had emergency brain surgery in late September which resulted in the removal of a benign brain tumor. Todd had no clue he had a brain tumor until he suddenly became ill. Hospital ran tests and advised that the tumor was pressing against his pituitary gland and left optic nerve.

Fortunately the surgery was a success but Todd has ongoing issues with his left eye and sight. He is the store manager at major chain tea company and has been out of work since late September. He has received only ONE NY state disability check in the amount of $300. He is officially out of money. Because of this, he is planning to return to work in less than 2 weeks despite his doctor's wanting to extend his time on sick leave.

Any amount of money would assist him in paying bills, groceries and he just received his FIRST but not last hospita bill , his portion to pay is in the amount of $7,000.

Todd lives alone in a NYC apartment which is quite costly. There have already been several friends who have helped Todd pay for some things, including November rent in the amount of $1500.

Any additional monies would be of great assistance and hopefully allow Todd to take some more time off, as I don't think he should be returning to work so soon given how sick he still is.
