Tobi is a student in Nigeria who has just been hired as a videographer while he finishes his schooling for Electrical Engineering. While we won't be hiring him as a full time job, hiring him with a few gigs will help him earn money to complete college, buy books and even a generator to allow him to charge his phone and continue reading after it gets dark.
Tobi lives with 4 other students who will also make use of the generator.
What will Tobi be doing to earn his way? He's agreed to document some interesting aspects of his daily life and film it for us to learn as well. A youtube channel has been setup for the editing of the videos which Tobi films with his phone. Donations will also cover the cost of his data service, as he has no wifi or internet in his village. It wouldn't be fair to run up his phone bill.
The only fees will be from GoFundMe, and the money transfer fee, otherwise it will all go directly to Tobi.
