To help with our daughter being hospitalized

Donation protected
Our daughter Emma Lee went in for surgery on Tuesday January 22. Her surgery was for her hydrocephalus. The hydrocephalus surgery went well. A couple hours after surgery she started acting really strange, her eyes were fixed downward and going out in opposition directions. She was babbling none stop and shaking. She had a high fever. They got her stable then that night she ended up having a seizure and vomiting ( which she has a fundo and shouldn’t be able to). She continued to spike fevers. After scans they found that her lungs are very sick and they partially collapsed. The doctor is wondering if her ventilator settings weren’t correct during surgery which would cause them to partially collapse. Last night her oxygen levels were going down so after X-ray they noticed she had air on the outside between her lungs around her heart. So they did a procedure to put a chest tube in and also put a central line in.
What should have been one night in the hospital has turned into not knowing when she will be able to come home. They say she will be in at least until next week sometime. The hospital is a little over a hour from where we live. We also have 3 other children. With driving back and forth, then follow up appointments when she is discharged gas is adding up. My other daughter is getting a device implanted to help with her seizures and for that we will have to make a trip once a month for several months.
My parents have been wonderful helping with the kids. I hate asking for help but it’s really taking a toll on us worrying about our daughter, bills, and gas. Any help is greatly appreciated and we thank you from the bottom of our heart.
