Home for my family

My name is Steve I am married, and my wife's name is Tegan.  We have 5 children together.  In 2013 our youngest son Gabriel (Age 2 then) was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma a childhood cancer.  In 2018 (when I'm posting this) he is 7 years old and is 3 years cancer free.  We made it through the majority of the treatment fine but toward the end we had no money.  My wife's parents gave us a place to live, but they are older and 5 energetic kids in their small house was a bit much for them.  We all decided to start converting their old barn (which my father-in-law used as a garage) into a living space.  This is where we are now.  I have a good job close to home and my wife is trying to get her photography business off the ground.  We are trying to raise funds to turn our living space into an actual home.  We want to stay here because we help my in-laws take care of things as they are getting old and the get to see there grand children.  It is humbling to ask for help but this isn't about my pride its about my family.  I've worked in construction for 10 years and I also have a  2 year tech diploma in home building so I am doing all the work myself with the labor of my family and friends so I am raising funds for materials, rental equipment, vehicle/ trailer maintenance and other things that may come up related to the building process.
