Photography Project: Van Life

In the past few years I have found out where my soul belongs, and it is in nature. The wildest wilderness, open roads and extreme adventures have awoken my heart and inspired me to push boundaries and inspire others to chase down dreams. Through my writing and photography I am able to connect with others and motivate friends and strangers to get outside and become a part of our natural world. I feel so passionately that nature has saved my life and to share that with humans near and far is a gift.
I am starting this fundraiser to kick off a photography project. For one year I plan to live out of a van and live as minimally, eco-friendly and gently as possible. All while photographing what that's like; the sights, both mundane and wondrous. What it's like to dirtbag around the country and the natural wonders of it. At the end of one year, after countless memories captured through camera and journaling, I want to write a book and have it published.
The money donated to this project will assist me in affording some basic things, such as solar panels and other gear to get this all started. It will help me with the costs of editing and publishing the book as well. Publishing can be a very large expense, and the whole point of this is to reach others. I plan to keep working to pay for my bills, with a very flexible, but low-hour job that allows me time to travel. I will also be blogging along the way to keep you all informed on what's what.
Ideally I would like to have my van set to roll by the end of summer. September 1st, 2016 would be ideal.
For most of my life, I have felt quite lost and without direction. Until the past few years. The years I discovered nature and photography. I know in my heart that this passion project is what I need to do. To inspire others, to show what can be done by doing things with love. To get people outside, to experience our amazing world. Having this project funded would change my life in many ways. It would be an absolute miracle and dream come true. Words could never express the awe and thanks and gratitude I would feel.
