Furbabies

For many years i have been saving and rescuing cats and kittens. It was my true love in life. I moved into an apt 6 years ago and a short time after that i noticed things starting to fall apart. It needed repairs. My landlord is a slum lord who did not like to fix anything..we have tried for years to get housing codes/city to step up and make him do it. But they always looked the other way. The several days ago, a report was filed and the city came to the apt. Because of the landlord lack of making needed repairs the apt was condemned. They gave me 24 hrs to find homes for my cats/kittens and to move out. We are allowed to go in from 8-4 to remove our possessions but not stay there. Now being homeless i had no where to go. And my furbabies were faced with the same situation. I had to act quik and make alot of phone calls. There was a great group in my area who stepped in and allowed me to surrender my furbabies to them to be adopted out to new homes in the future. This tore my world apart and still hurts but i knew i needed to protect my furbabies and this was the only way to do that. If i had let city take them, they may not have been alive today. The city likes to put the to sleep rather then help them. I still have trouble sleeping but i know my furbabies are in a safe place. We are homeless but are able to stay w family on a temporary basis until we can find another place to live, which isnt so easy. I am doing this to not only get another place but also to ask that anyone who is able to please go to the petpantry website and donate there to help the babies i love and miss dearly. In past i had hopes of saving up to own my own home, the cost is $18,000 but i now am homeless and have no way to even get that home where we could be happy and away from the city who lets slumlords get away with too much and doesnt help the people in need. thanks so much for reading this story. any questions, i can be found on facebook,. i still believe in miracles and the angels from petpantry were one true miracle.
