Support TRC at FIRST Championships

By placing 15th out of 150 teams in the Pacific Northwest, Titan Robotics Club has qualified for the FIRST Robotics World Championships in St. Louis in a few short weeks! This is a great honor, but the investment to participate is significant. We are hoping to raise $10,000! This will cover $7,000 in fixed expenses to cover our entry fee, robot and shipping costs, and provide additional funds to cover fees to cover expenses while in St. Louis related to the robot. All students and mentors pay their own way for the trip (approximately $1800 each). Our success has outpaced our fundraising this year, so we won't be able to go without this additional help. Since we come from a small high school, we have a comparably small team and can't afford to spread the cost amongst the students. That's where YOUR help comes in!
Attending the World Championships is an incredible opportunity for us. Our team of 15-20 students, plus 9 mentors, has dedicated hundreds and hundreds of hours to building and competing with this robot. The exposure at this event to real-life STEM related careers, colleges and universities, not to mention world-class competition is priceless. The teamwork, mechanical and electrical engineering, computer programming, media production, data analysis, presentation, community outreach, business aspects to the club are as good as any internship around - all focused on a principle of gracious professionalism. We would really love to represent you, the International School and the Bellevue School District in St. Louis, April 22-25, 2015.
We thank you for your consideration, and appreciate that any size donation gets us closer to our goal!
Titan Robotics is affiliated with International School a 501c3 non-profit, and we can provide receipts for donations as requested. If you prefer to donate via check, please use the "Contact" link below, and choose contact the organizer.
