Hola, me llamo Christiana Pedroni y estoy intentando recaudar fondos para que mi abuela (mi tita) pueda hacerse una operació en el cerebro. Esta sería su 3ra operacion un los ultimos 25 años.
Todo empezó cuando encontraron el 1er tumor en su cerebro que le provocaba convulsiones. Despues de la operación, tuvo que empezar a tomar medicamentos anticonvulsivos de por vida. La necesidad de estos medicamentos creó una dependencia en su cerebro que la volvió de cierta manera epileptica.
Con los años salió su 2do tumor, despues de otra operacion, quedó afectada del habla y con temblores en las manos. Pasaron 15 años y pensamos que nos habíamos librado de los tumores para siempre pero hace 2 años encontraron otro en su tallo cerebral y los doctores recomiendan una intervencion con gama knife lo antes posible. Operacion a craneo abierto no es recomendable por su edad. Sin embargo el unico lugar en centroamerica donde hacen esta intervención es en El Salvador y cuesta aproximadamente 16,000 USD.

Hi, my name is Christiana Pedroni and I am trying to raise funds so that my grandmother can have brain surgery. This would be her 3rd surgery in the last 25 years.
It all started when doctors found the 1st tumor in her brain that caused seizures. After the operation, she had to start taking anticonvulsant medications for life. The need for these drugs created a dependency in her brain that made her become epileptic.
Over the years, her 2nd tumor appeared. After another surgery, her speech was affected and the hand tremors began. 15 years passed and we thought that we had gotten rid of the tumors forever but 2 years ago they found another one in her brainstem and the doctors recommend an intervention with gamma knife as soon as possible. Open skull surgery is not recommended because of her age. However, the only place in Central America where they do this intervention is in El Salvador and it costs approximately 16,000 USD.
