Tireless volunteer needs our help

Ronda has two loves: her daughters and her rescue horses. Well, maybe she has three: Rod, her dear husband of 25 years, is a metro-area farrier (horse-shoer) and Foothills Fire Department Volunteer. Golden born-and-raised, Ronda suffers from a severe case of community service. Some call her “the little engine that could” or “short stuff”. No matter the hour, she’ll drag herself out of bed to provide support to first responders and puts the rest of us to shame with her complete commitment to their every need. She manages the family farrier business and quietly cares for old and injured horses, giving them a safe and dignified life until their passing. All the while, she’s organizing events to support the fire department, attending board meetings, and rescuing animals in need with the Front Range Animal Evacuation Team.
Now Ronda needs us. Ronda has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The small family business has not provided for the best health insurance and after many months of radiation therapy, bills are mounting and worry increasing. Doctors discovered an additional tumor and she has started six-weeks of chemo therapy, declining mobility, and a long road ahead. Cancer is a monster that can take a toll financially, emotionally and, of course, physically. We are asking for your help to support the Cameron family in this difficult time.
