Tiny Home For Tammy

My Mom, Tammy, is one of those people who light up a room the minute she walks through the door. She has an amazing laugh, and a heart of gold. She loves life, but loves the people in her life more. She's one of the most selfless, responsible, strongest, and independent women you will ever meet.  She is truly beautiful inside and out.  I am so proud to call this wonderful lady my Mom.

She lost her husband, my Stepfather Tom, to cancer in '01, over a decade ago, and her Aunt Sonja, who was more of a mother to her, lost her battle in '09.  Both extremely hard times. Through those hard times she has learned not to take the time here for granted. To try and live everyday like it's your last. We all know that life gets in the way of those lessons, and with good times there are bad.

After a year of feeling miserable, going to doctor after doctor, being misdiagnosed, she started to feel helpless. After a simple pelvic x-ray, she was diagnosed with Stage Four Kidney Cancer. In April her left kidney was removed. After a painful recovery she is now undergoing chemotherapy, and will be for the rest of her life.  She always has had a very strong work ethic.  Due to her condition,  there are days when working is hard, and days when working is impossible.  With bills and a mortgage she is extremely overwhelmed, and mostly exhausted.  She has no choice but to sell her home to help pay for medical bills.

She has dreamt of moving back to the country and living a more laid back life in a tiny home.  Something all her friends and family want for her. A place where she can reflect, focus on, and do the things in her life that she loves to do.

As her daughter, I want to help her as much as I can, but I am limited on what I can do financially. What my husband and I do have is land with a perfect spot for a tiny home. A home where she can live the rest of her life in the country. Here she can do everything she loves about country life;  spend time with friends and family, garden, star gaze, raise chickens. Be inspired to write and create.  But most importantly live a stress free life so she can focus on living the time she has left to the fullest.

There is nothing I would want more for her than to help fulfill her dream. I love her to the moon and back. She gave me life and I want to do everything in my power to provide a life as beautiful as the one she has provided me.

With the funds raised, we want to build her a tiny home close to ours. A mortgage free home, equipped with a tiny kitchen, living room, bathroom, bedroom, and a porch. Please, help me provide this to the most amazing woman I know.

If you are unable to help financially, please send prayers or a positive comment.  Thank You.
