Tiny House Alaskan Adventure

Donation protected

This is my blog, tinyakadventure.com

My name is Melissa and together with my family I am going to build TWO Tiny Houses on Wheels to take on tour across Alaska so as to promote this affordable, eco and family friendly way of life with those who are interested. :)

I want to be able to bring this idea of living affordably and eco-friendly to the people in my community and neighboring communities all around Alaska.

Donate $20 and we will send you a special knit Tiny House Ornament made expecially by Erin from The Kniterin just for us to raise funds for our project! Thank you Erin!

*I will be re-launching our GoFundMe page in the next couple of months to have even more prizes and many more chances to win these cute Tiny House Ornaments as well as other prizes. :D

How to Win a Personalized Tour on our

“And Help us Map out our tour Route”

Would you like to see a Tiny House in person? How about two?  If you donate $20 or more to our Go Fund Me account you can have that!  A personalized 1 hour tour for you and a loved one in Fairbanks or along our Alaskan Tour will be your reward for just $20. To qualify after your donation you can email me at [email redacted], or leave me a private message either on GoFundMe when you are donating or after with the fallowing info,

*Message me your name, email address, and what town or borough you live in here in Alaska. You can also message me through my Facebook Link.

*Please leave your name available for me to see it on the GoFundMe page so I can compare it to the names sent to me. I want to make sure everyone is getting a fair trade.

If you don’t have the funds to help us now but you would like us to visit your area on our tour, please leave a comment on my blog, facebook, twitter, Instagram, or google+! Help us map out our tour so we can help you get to know Tiny a little bit better.:)

A Little bit about our Project

We are building two Tiny Houses because we want to show people the versatility of Tiny Houses. They are a comparatively affordable form of housing that could be used for nearly anything under the sun. Students who want to live independently, single or young parents looking for a more affordable home for their family, seniors looking to live simply in retirement or adult's looking to travel with their home but still live comfortably. Whether on wheels or foundations Tiny Houses are blooming all over the country.

Tiny Houses are simple, built to last, affordable, efficient, eco and family friendly dwellings that can basically be built by anyone.

I have selected two plans from www.humble-homes.com for our tiny houses. An 8'x24' foot home called the Blue Jay , and a much smaller 6.5'x10'feet home called the Nook. We intend to live in the  Blue Jay and use both homes as show rooms on our travels. We will use all eco and family friendly materials for building and living in them.

In the long term I hope to be able to buy land to park the house's on and start my own local Tiny House Eco Community for those interested in building and living Tiny here in interior Alaska.:)

I'd like to say thank you to anyone who has shared or donated to our project. I appreciate it very very much!
