Early this morning while Tim was driving for Uber his car was struck by another vehicle when it failed to stop at a red traffic light.  Tim was the only survivor from his vehicle.
His injuries include bleeding near the liver which he is continuing to undergo scans to determine the source and cracked vertebre.
Tim's work is the main source of income for his family and the car lost in the accident was their primary vehicle.  It is unclear at this time how much work and income will be lost due to this accident, not to mention the inevitable mountian of medical bills he will be faced with.
We are asking for financial contirbutions  to offset the immediate lost income, medical bills and other expenses incured due to this accident.
On behalf of Tim and Ananda, we want to extend our deepest gratitude and thanks for any contribution you are able to give.  News coverage of the accident.

With permission, I'm sharing an update I received today from Tim:

Hi Tracy,

It's been awhile since we talked. As a family we're doing fine, and I'm back to my work routine.

I finished physical therapy a few weeks ago, and continue to work out 3-4 times a week. I honestly feel better than I did before the accident, and it's wonderful just to stay active. I'm coming to terms with what this accident means to others involved, and I'm trying to verbalize my thoughts. The sentencing is in May, and I feel an obligation to use that forum to address an important audience. I have been very hesitant to speak publicly, and want to focus on respecting all the families involved.

I am so grateful for all the support, and it is inspiring to see so many people with love in their hearts.

Thank you,

Tim

Tim asked me to forward this on to all of you:

I am so grateful for the opportunity to say Thank you to everyone who supported our Family during this recovery. I truly felt your concern and your well wishes. At no point did I feel sorry for myself, or look at my situation in a negative light... I don't know how I could with all of the love being sent our way.

I could not imagine making so much progress in such a short time, but I know all of the positive energy sent my way had a lot to do with it. I want all of you to know that your compassion and empathy mean the most to me. I don't like our lives being controlled by money, and I honestly feel guilty for receiving the monetary support. I appreciate not having to worry about the financial aspects of the situation, so for that I thank you as well.

God means a lot of different things to many people. In my heart, God is love.

Thank you,

Tim

Wonderful Update from Tim's wife: "We went to the follow-up appointment yesterday for Tim. It didn't include vascular and we need to go back for a CT scan in December for that, so he still needs to carry the nitroglycerin on his person at all times. He was cleared to go back to his primary job though. Not to the chiropractor because the spine and ribs will take a long time to fully mend. He is off narcotics completely and did not refill the muscle relaxer prescription. I am still giving him chaga tincture and CBD oil, but no one else seemed to consider that pain mediation. Lol. It will just be Tylenol and aspirin from here on out as far as "real" drugs. Sneezing hurts and he needs to keep up with the breathing exercises. He plans to drive the leased car to work soon and seems to really be looking forward to it."
~ Ananda

As always, we are incredibly grateful for all the support and love that has been given during Tim's recovery. Although he is returning to "normal" there remains a need for support monetarily as the bills continue to pile up. Please share the link with your friends, family and co workers. Thank you!

~ Tracy
