Hello.
My name is Roxxi and I live alone with my seven cats. I suffer from Borderline Personality Disorder and haven't worked in a long time. I struggle with anxiety, depression and i'm not very good socially. I don't live in my hometown, and I don't have any friends or family where I currently live. I'm quite isolated, and moving isn't an option. It's cheap living here, it's quiet.
Unfortunately this means I have no one to help me when times get tough. Between paying bills, rent, debts, my own upkeep and that of the cats, plus minor vet visits, it's extremely difficult to drum up large sums of money when my babies get bigger problems. I know many people would chastise me for no pet insurance, but that won't help me initially, I would still have to pay first before I could claim back, putting me at square one. I can afford my pets, but saving big sums takes time, and sometimes time is of the essence.
My ginger tom Tiger is experiencing pain in his mouth. He yelps out randomly and hides. Most likely he needs an extraction, maybe a few. I've been warned this can cost up to £600 or more, with the anaesthetic, the dental work and pain medication. It depends how big the job is.
This would take me at least two or three months to save up, depending how much I scrimp and cut everything else to a minimum. So I came here, with the hopes that some kind souls would be willing to help me to help Tiger. My cats are my babies, my life. They mean the world to me, and I don't want to make him wait in pain for a large amount of time.
Anything anyone can donate to help me foot his vet bill, sooner rather than later, would mean I could take him straight away and get his pain eased. It would also ease my anxiety and upset over having to see him in pain because of my lack of funds.
