Throws Training Cage
Templemore Athletic Club has built an Olympic facility over the last 38 years and are now planning further development of our grounds. We have used tried and trusted methods of internal fundraising and are continuing to do so, but we need to expand our range of funding. We want to keep our athlethes performing on a national and international stage, including Olympics and world championships. To do this we are increasing our range of training facilities. When built the throws training cage will allow our athletes to train/throw safely all year round, including winter nights under floodlights. With this training cage athletes can practice Shot Put, Discus and Hammer throwing. This training cage will be fully enclosed in netting meaning athletes both inside and outside are completely safe. Both track and field training sessions can be run together safely with a throws training cage in place. We need to raise 10,000 Euros to get this essential project underway. Our aim is to raise this amount using gofundme by the end of September 2019. We are undertaking this project to help further develop our athletes so they can all reach their personal throwing goals, whether it be medalling at Counties, Munsters, All Irelands, Europeans, Worlds or even someday at an Olympic final. Our club is special in that we cater equally for both track and field events. This project will benefit all age groups from Juveniles right up to Masters and beyond. So please donate no matter how small every Euro counts.+ Read More
