This Boy Tom - a new musical written by Natalie Sexton has the incredible opportunity to perform off-broadway New York, at the Soho Playhouse this November.
This Boy Tom started in workshop in 2016, has since developed into a critically acclaimed musical, starring twelve incredibly talented children, many of whom have been with the show from the very beginning.
This May we performed at The Old Courtroom for The Brighton Fringe Festival, and had the most incredible time, fantastic audiences, wonderful reviews. On the final weekend, Soho Playhouse saw the show and invited us to NYC!
The show is a story of acceptance, friendship and courage, told through dynamic song, dance and gripping writing. This Boy Tom has touched thousands of people in Brighton and Sussex so far, and we would love to bring it to the America.
This is a trip of a life-time, we feel this opportunity is too good to miss!
This crowdfunding campaign is raising the money to cover flights and accommodation in New York. We need to fly the cast, the creatives and chaperones and then stay for two weeks. Additional funds will go toward production costs, rehearsals, and marketing.
This production has been a passion project and a love, that both James and I have invested many many hours, money and hard-work in to, over two years - and this is such a reward! Each actor and their parents have committed to hours of rehearsals, staging of the show, and performances, they love the show as much as we do - we are truly so grateful to each and every one for all their hard work.
