When asked what species we take in, we say: "Whatever you have a foster for!
You have a turtle or a donkey to re-home? We will help you with that!" "What about this jackalope?" you say? Done!
All we need is a foster.
The Underdogs take on those whom nobody else wants. They are thrown away just because they are missing a leg, an eyeball, or maybe have a tiny little smell issue. We don't care! Our mission is to rehab these stinky, three-legged little creatures and get them into loving fur-ever homes.
Last year alone, we welcomed Gunnie and Bowie to the Underdogs, both gunshot victims. We also took Sonny & Cher into our care who were left abandoned on a street corner. And who could forget Tris? Left on the side of the road, riddled with cancer, and only a jar of peanut butter to survive. All of these babies are now rehabbed and either in their new homes or still looking for the purrrfect one!

Taking in these special little furbabies can be very expensive. These pups need surgeries including gland removals, amputations, tumor removals and more. We depend on donations, as well as our extra special fosters and volunteers that open their homes, hearts, (and cars) to us.
