Our goal is to simply advocate that the addiction treatment industry be held to the same standards as the medical field. We give a voice to those who have lost their battle with addiction, those still fighting and their families and friends.
WHO WE ARE:
After hearing thousands of rehab horror stories since the release of The Business of Recovery and watching the overdose death rates continue to rise at an alarming rate, we have decided to take action. The Business of Recovery has joined forces with Project Be Well to create The Truth About Rehab.
We are dedicated to exposing the corruption and dangerous practices that are currently accepted in the addiction treatment industry.
Did you know when you search online or call an 800 number, the level of misinformation and deceptiveness is hard to comprehend? You will often be manipulated into a system by a person unqualified to give medical advice and then sold to the highest bidder. This nonsense has to stop now!
SO WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR DONATION?
The funds from this campaign will be used for expenses related to developing and building the website and various social media platforms for The Truth About Rehab. We will also be using a portion of these funds for the expenses related to pre-production of The Business of Recovery 2. The follow-up film, like the first film, will help educate the public and promote the need for change. This film will address the incredibly serious issues (listed below) that continue to go on in the addiction treatment industry.
By donating to The Truth About Rehab, you will help us create educational campaigns that speak the truth, support science and demand data. We know that the smart use of media technology will help us educate and empower families struggling with addiction.

TIMELINE:
We would like to have most of the funds in place by September 30th, 2017. Because we have already commenced the development of the website, social media platforms, pre-production of the film, and many of our research activities, we expect to be fully operational by November 30th, 2017.
