The Taylor’s adoption Journey

The Lord has been leading our family on a wonderful and challenging journey. Chris and I have always (both individually and together) had a heart for adoption. When we got married back in 2011, we KNEW that we would adopt someday! Through heartbreaking circumstances over the last year, we have prayerfully come to the conclusion that the time is now! As many of you know, we have walked a long road of suffering and loss. We acknowledge God's sovereignty over each of our five loses, and the timing of them all, to bring us to where we are today... at the beginning of our adoption journey! We will always feel the loss of our little ones but we are rejoicing at God’s goodness and excited to see how His plan and our adoption story will unfold.
We are inviting you to partner with us in TWO ways:
FIRST and foremost, we need your PRAYER support!
Please pray for our PROCESS, the Lord's PROVISION, and the PREPARATION of our hearts and home!
The process from start to finish is extremely involved and we are praying that it goes off without a hitch. We are praying for the health and safety of this little life and his or her birth mom. Please also begin praying for the heart of the expectant mother involved. Adoption is a bittersweet process and we pray that she is loved and encouraged every step of the way during such a tender time. We are also fervently praying for our hearts as we prepare to welcome a new life in to the Taylor tribe.
SECOND, partnering with us FINANCIALLY. We have a heart for adoption and truly feel called to this process. We are asking you to prayerfully consider giving financially to help support us in this adventure. Chris and I are being as creative as possible to raise the necessary funds but even with our garage sales, online auctions, penny pinching, and more, we will not be able to do it on our own. We will need to raise upwards of $45,000 to fully fund this process. We were stunned to learn this is the current average cost of infant adoption. We have found a wonderful agency to assist us in bringing a new baby in to our family and we can’t wait to watch it unfold.
Adoption is a reality for every follower of Jesus. The New Testament uses the language of adoption to describe God's saving work through the Gospel! Those who have been born again to trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord have been adopted into the family of God (see Gal. 3:26; John 1:12). Perhaps no other doctrine in Scripture reveals God's love for us more than adoption. It teaches us that not only does God want to forgive us, but He wants us to be a part of His family. He desires a relationship with fallen humanity, and has made this possible through the perfect life, death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. We hope and pray that our adoption journey will showcase God's amazing Gospel-love for His children, a love that pursues, a love that sacrifices, a love that ultimately seeks the good of another. We believe that this is one way for us as God's children to imitate the Father's love (see James 1:27)!
Lastly, we just want to say THANK YOU! Thank you for praying for us in our season of loss. Thank you for the meals and the words of encouragement that have kept us going. Thank you for partnering with us as we move forward in this adventure!
