New York Stupa of Transformation

RESTORATION OF THE BIG INDIAN STUPA BEGINS  

After many years of aging and deterioration the stupa is now moving into a remarkable new phase of restoration and revitalization under the guidance of Silver Ra and the support of Lama Rangbar.


Towards the end of August Silver Ra and seven others will be trekking from Denton, TX, to Big Indian, NY. Silver Ra and his band of disentangled adventurer's will be leaving and driving a truck loaded with the copper niche ornament from Denton, Texas, on August 26th and arrive in Big Indian on the 28th to make the much needed repairs on the aging Stupa.

The ‘niche ornament phase’ of this project is calling for $5000.00 for materials, transporting it to the site from Texas, installation and labor.The Stupa restoration is calling for $20,000.00 to be applied over a three year period of work.

The Stupa was orginally created out of deep respect for the pioneering spiritual work of Swami Rudrananda (Rudi), the first Stupa built in America was built in the Catskill Mountains outside a small city named Big Indian, New York.
