What we're all about
Serenity Foundation has declared May 2018 as the moment we take action towards helping people access services so they can begin to recover and improve their quality of life. Our Mission is to raise money to help individuals afford to access mental heatlh treatment through providing financial assistance to those in need.
People want and need mental health counseling. However, 70% of people needing mental health counseling, can't afford their health insurance deductibles and copays. This often prevents them from accessing services that would decrease their symptoms that lead to suicide, gun violence, hospitalization, drug addiction, domestic violence and even death.
Health Insurance companies will not pay for mental health treatment until a person has met their Individual deductible and/or co-pay. Individuals struggling with mental health issues need your help.
With your help we will be able to
· Assist individuals in making mental health affordable by providing financial assistance to cover up to 50% of co-pays and deductibles
· Advocate on the behalf of individuals with mental health and addictive disorders in accessing treatment
· Support the recruitment, training and on-boarding of qualified, culturally diversed, mental health therapists to improve accessibility of treatment
Your Donation will provide support to
Adolescents and Adults struggling with anger, anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, relationship issues, sexual disorders, mood disorders and stress management.
Families struggling with parenting, behavior management and/or relationship issues
Individuals with Alcohol & Drug Addictions
Individuals who self identify as LGBTQ
Individuals who are Deaf and/or Hard of Hearing
Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
Individuals who are Spanish Speaking
