Help The Racing Chica Get to GTA

My Story:

Racing is life.

There is nothing in the world like it, it is exciting, scary, and rewarding all at the same time. I have always loved the feeling of going fast in a car and experiencing the Gs on my body. When I first test drove my 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX I was instantly in love.  I loved how the turbo kicked me back in my seat. I knew I would be hooked for life and there was no turning back.

I wanted to go fast in my new car, in researching I found a way. So I started racing in Autocross in 2010 with the SCCA Washington DC Region.  In that same year I won 1st place in LDS class for their "39 Forever Tour". In 2014 I also won 1st place DS with the Utah SCCA Region. The next year I won 3rd place in Round 1 of Winter X with the UT NASA Region. Although Autocross is a lot of fun I wanted to go faster. So I signed up for NASA's HPDE program. I worked hard to get my Time Trial License. There were many long nights getting the car prepped for the track. I put blood, sweat, and tears into perfecting my skill and my car. 

Racing has taught me how to be resilient when times are tough. It also taught me patience at the most crucial times. As I have stated before there is nothing like racing. I can’t even describe it in words. Racing is sort of my therapy.

What the Funds Are For:

As I have learned the hard way racing breaks and wear down parts faster than regular daily driving. I have invested a great deal into my racing. Unfortunately that is still not enough. The money will go toward things like tires, brake pads, entry fees, traveling expenses, suspension work, aerodynamic modifications, tuning, safety equipment, etc.

I want to be #1 in Street AWD class in GTA 2017.   GTA (Global Time Attack) is racing against the clock on a road course. GTA Website 

There are not many women who are in motorsports and less are as successful as their male counterparts. I hope my story inspires others to blow past barriers to reach their dream. It doesn't matter what sex/gender you are. As long as you believe in your passion nothing can stop you.
