Here's how I know and love the Phillipps Family:
Lauren is the oldest daughter of one of my dearest childhood friends (Holly), and I've watched her from the moment she came into this world grow into an amazing young woman who is a faith-filled fighter!!
FAITH > Fear
I've set up this campaign in the hopes of helping the Phillipps family through what is likely to be the most challenging journey of their lives; beating Lymphoma.
Because of my deep care for Holly & Scott and their six sweet children, I wanted to do somthing to help ease some of the financial burden that fighting cancer can bring.
I've seen what GoFundMe campaigns can do, and it's nothing short of amazing; all because people really DO want to help others and are inherently good.
Fighting cancer alone is hard enough, so if some of the financial strain can be lifted by me, you and anyone out there who feels led to help, then let's do just that!
The Phillipps Family find it overwhelming to think about the potential expenses that they might be facing during this journey, so I've suggested we start with a goal of $25,000 in hopes that we crush that goal!
They are just starting to discover what all of the testing, imaging, hospitalizations (ONE round done so far! YES!) and medications both in and out of the hospital are going to cost. For example, one of the medications that she needs to have after each round of chemo (so, four times as planned thus far) is going to cost more than $1,800 out-of-pocket.
That's just ONE of the medications!!
Not to mention the driving back and forth to Minneapolis during the hospital stays and in-between chemo treatments for clinic visits up to several times a week.
You can see how fast it will all add up and how overwhelming that burden must feel on top of keeping it all together (by the grace of God) as you guide your sweet daughter (along with her siblings) through this fight.
The Phillipps Family are leaning on the Lord and are strong in their faith. They know that God will provide for their every need and has His hand in EVERY part of this.
