Greetings! We are The J.O.B., an independent band in Richmond, Virginia and we need your help to present our new full length album to the world.
The J.O.B. was formed by Jim O'Ferrell (acoustic guitar & vocals) and Jason Crawford (electric guitar) when Jim returned from the War in Iraq in 2008. Originally intended to record the powerful songs Jim had written between wartime missions, the band has developed into a hard-hitting alternative rock group with a prolific music portfolio. The J.O.B. have a diverse Indie Rock creative sensibility with a Blues pulse and Americana roots. Rounding out our four-piece band is Jared Merrill with his bass guitar and Eric Bandy on the drummer's throne.
Our band has created 5 albums since our inception in 2008. From those recording projects, three singles enjoyed lengthy status on FMQB radio spin charts in the United States.
We are now in the recording studio working on album number six, "Highway of Shadows". From this collection of new songs, one track in particular, "Lisa's Song" is ready to lead the way onto the national airwaves and blaze a trail for the album to follow. The songs on "Highway of Shadows" are passionate and bold, introspective and stimulating, comforting and provocative. They are stories of people and events encountered along the arduous and unpredictable road of one's life. The album is a musical memoir and "Lisa's Song" is but one chapter, one shadow on the highway. We are proud of this album. It is the finest work we have ever done.
The J.O.B. is ready to take our music on tour to the world and that journey starts with your confidence and benevolence. We need our friends and fans to invest in this ambitious trek. The music business is a business after all and it does require suprisingly robust chunks of money.
