Hi, we're The Flips.
At the start of winter, we released our second LP, "Better Days ." It's an album that focuses on mental health and the struggle to believe in a brighter future when everything seems to be falling apart. We put all of ourselves into this album, and as proud as we are of it, the way all of you have connected with it has been the most meaningful part.
Now, we want to do something we've never done before: put this album on vinyl. As excited as we are to begin, the process isn't cheap. We're looking to raise $1,800 over the next several weeks to fund production of audiophile-quality 150g vinyl records, with full color jackets featuring artwork by our keyboardist Annette. With a 4 month turnaround time, they should be in our hands by the start of summer. A donation of $30 will reserve a copy for you, ready to join your record collection.
We've been fortunate to be a part of a strong DIY community for bands and artists in Chicago and the Midwest, and to count so many of those we've met as our friends. Here's to hoping you can join us in creating something special.
