The Doors provides a second chance housing program, linking jobs opportunities, and tools to provide a self-sufficient future for individuals with poor rental history or eviction. Premised on the belief that rental history is important and is a key factor when renting, The Doors will create opportunity to restore rental history and satisfy eviction debt. Its mission is to equip middle class families and young adults with the tools and skills set towards a better rental experience.
It will cost $10,000 to help the first family with housing and monthly rent expenses over the next 12 months. This will help Ms Johnson gain custody of her two daughters, while restoring her rental history and satisfying eviction debt. Ms Johnson is required to display stability before getting her children back but due to a previous eviction she has been denied at every place she has applied. The DOORS can change that and provide skills to lead to self Sufficiency after the one year program. She is currently waiting to be housed but must fund the program first. Please help The DOORS assist Ms Johnson restore her future and bring stability to her family.
