The "C" Word (Comedy) Show

$470 of $1,000 goal

Raised by 7 people in 6 months
I started performing stand up comedy when I was 18 at a comedy competition at Pratt University in Brooklyn New York. I won! That was the beginning of a five-year comedy career from which I took a break at 23 to get a "real" job. I did great and made a lot of money but then I was hit by a drunk driver while driving to that "real" job and unfortunately, I became handicapped from back and neck injuries. I was 32. I am now 42 and I live with chronic pain. I have resisted filing for disability insurance but soon I will have no choice. So, I keep on keepin' on!

And It's going great! In October of 2017, I got a request from the mother of a young child who suffers from PANDAS, (A neurological illness) to perform an adult stand-up show as a fundraiser!  I did the benefit show at The Cornerstone Event Center located at the New Hope Firehouse. It was attended by close to 300 people and they raised $25, 000 for the cause. It awakened the comedian in me again and I began working toward doing developing this show, The "C" Word,  on Saturday, July 28th, 2018  at The Music Mountain Theatre in Lambertville. I decided that maybe I could pay the theatre rental fee (or even a deposit) by raising money here. I do a lot of benefit shows that I don't charge for so, I'm not asking for total charity. I think of this as selling advanced tickets! Donations of $75 or more will receive 2 tickets to the show!

Thanks for taking the time to read this and thanks for helping me reach my goal!

Dwayne Dunlevy’s “C” Word is Back!
Dunlevy offers up a fun filled night just for adults at Music Mountain Theater; the beautiful 250 seat indoor theater in Lambertville celebrating its inaugural season.

LAMBERTVILLE, NJ. - Jul. 28, 2018 The third installment of Dunlevy’s popular stand-up comedy series will take place at the beautifully renovated Music Mountain Theatre in Lambertville, New Jersey. “The “C” is for comedy says Dwayne, “wink, wink” a twinkle in his eye. “Since it’s a show for adults, it’s nice to know you can’t go too far. Then, it’s all up to God anyway.”

It was in 2010 that Dwayne premiered the first ever The “C” Word to a standing room only audience at the famed Harlan’s cabaret. The sometimes bawdy, always personal show received high praise from audiences that consisted of both locals of the New Hope, PA area as well as New Yorkers and Philadelphians who cited the show’s quality and authenticity.

Writer and Producer Dwayne Dunlevy created the show as a way to bring live theatre in the form of Stand-up comedy back to the famed artist town. Dwayne’s own stand-up career began in Brooklyn, New York, circa 1995 where he won an award for his first ever stand-up routine in front of a live audience at Pratt University. From there it was steady experience by fire at comedy clubs in New York and Philadelphia for Dwayne who now, two decades later, performs at public and private events throughout the tri-state area.
On Saturday, July 28th Dwayne will reprise The “C” Word as emcee and one of three acts to perform at Music Mountain Theater; the beautiful 250 seat theater in Lambertville celebrating its inaugural season. Tickets may be purchased at https://tinyurl.com/ydz49t95 or by Visiting WWW.DWAYNED.BIZ

The show begins at 7:30pm and refreshments will be available in the lobby. Music Mountain Theatre has ample parking and handicap accessible entrances and exits.

A Message from Dwayne Dunlevy Entertainment:

Due to unforeseen circumstances, it is required that I change the date of The "C" Word to Saturday, July 28th. I am so sorry for any inconvenience and hope that since we are 2 months from the show that you and the other ticket holders will still be able to make it on the 28th.

If you CAN still make the show on July 28th, then you don't have to do anything. Your tickets will still work. Just change the date on your own calendar!:)

If you CANNOT make it, please reply immediatly so that I can help to resolve the situation.

It was difficult to make this desicion but in the end, it had to be made. And I feel confident that I made the right choice. Thank you for understanding.

Sincerely,

Dwayne Dunlevy
