The Book of Nimrod is a dramatic series which delves into the dark world of Esteban "Nimrod" Santiago, a local hustler who gets a little girl in a back alley deal. He raises this innocent child as his own, but with his own twisted sense of parental guidance.
America is made up of a diverse assortment of colors, cultures, ethnicities, and customs. The Book of Nimrod reflects, not only the tumultuous lives of those who live on the edge in Philadelphia, but also their diversity.
Our story is begging to be told, and we're so proud and excited to be a vehicle in which, at least, one of these dramatic stories will be told. We believe in creating cutting-edge drama using the faces that we hardly ever see in the mainstream, yet their lives impact all of our lives, every day.
We're independent, so much of what we accomplish is purely on "the strength", which simply means, we're getting it done with no resources. We're now embarking upon our 2nd season and we'd like to have a few things in place. We've already begun shooting, but we'd like to have Craft Services (food/snacks on set), Special Effects Makeup Artist (Alfreda Howard Keck, one of the few African American women in this field who is making her presence known), and Props.
