The Big(& little)Snip! TNR projects

We operate a very small cat rescue called "Ivy's Memorial Rescue", named after one of our rescue cats who succumbed to a terminal bone disease at only 14 months old (see: www.facebook.com/IvysStory for more about Ivy).  We take in one or two (sometimes more!) stray or otherwise homeless cats at a time, have them vetted, then adopt them out (when we can...we have a few "special needs" cats who require long-term care).  In the last few years, we've rescued 50 homeless cats this way.  Then, in the summer of 2016, we heard about a small managed colony that needed assistance spaying and neutering a dozen  cats, so we embarked on a special spay/neuter project, "The Big Snip!"

After "The Big Snip!" came "The little Snip!", a small colony of 8 cats that we spayed and neutered in the fall of 2016, which meant the fundraising continued!  As 2016 became 2017, we continued to spay or neuter and adopt out other homeless cats who found their way to us.  We currently have a number of adult cats and 3 litters of kittens in our care, all of which require vetting before being available for adoption...so the fundraising STILL continues.

As always, we continue to  accept monetary donations and cat food (we continue to help the caretakers feed the colony cats from our TNR projects) at Our Mother's Keepers, 85 Water Street, Windsor, NS.
