Theatre Fundraiser #1

Donation protected
Hello, all who are reading this here text! I have the opportunity to attend a once in a life time (and imperative) Theatre College Discovery. This is my last chance to do so as I am a Home-Schooled Senior in High School.  Per recommendation of my geneticist, I plan to enroll at Pitt Community College in North Carolina in the Fall of 2019, receive my Associates degree in the Arts and transfer to a College in North Carolina with Theatre (or Drama) as my Major. - which allows me an adequate amount of time to receive the correct diagnosis and treatment, gain financial stability and further my studies.

I would love to attend NCTC's College Discovery Day event.  As the site states this event is "A one-stop shop for theatre students in NC –  NCTC College Discovery Day is the only event in the state that connects you with NC college theatre programs." and it is "North Carolina’s best opportunity for high school students to get involved with theatre programs across the state. You will get to meet with the #1 school on your list and discover new schools!". I will also get the chance to audition and connect with others in the world of Theatre. This will help me narrow down the trips I take to audition for the Theatre and Drama department and the fees per applications - both of which saves both money and prevents avoidable stress and health problems in the near future.

I need to raise $70 dollars for my Student Registration by November the 6th (the deadline to register is November the 9th and I'd like to secure my spot early).  $20 for my 2018-2019 Student NCTC membership card which will include the following member only benefits and more: Invitation to register for member-exclusive events like the NCTC Producing Gathering (where i’ll network with and meet theatre leaders from across the state), access to member only emails, updates about the NC theatre industry news and receive NCTC and free and unlimited access to the job and audition listings on our website and the chance to be informed about what’s happening in the NC Legislature and how it could affect me.

The rest will be used to cover any additional fees for gas, food, souvenirs, supplies, the rental of a car (if need be), appropriate audition wear and makeup (which I currently do not have) and anything else that comes up along the way (all related to my theatre studies and health related things) as I live about 3 hours away from this event and would like to be as prepared as possible. This is the furthest I've traveled in a few years.

Please donate if you can and share if you can not. Literally anything helps. I will update my GoFundMe if I receive donations from elsewhere (or if any of my own funds go towards this event). Thank you for taking the time to read this lengthy post.

The following is a clip from the vocal/music audition of my first audition ever for "Purlie" a few months ago. My audition begins at 1:19 (the first half is my little sister's audition. This marks the beginning of my Theatre journey. I was cast as an ensemble member and featured in a trio performance of "First Thing Monday Morning". I was recently cast in the same arts centers production of Elf Jr. as Macy's Salesperson #1/Ensemble. I have attended 2 rehearsals so far and the show will debut in early December. I hope you enjoy!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJuG3NBbwhE
