Remember that crazy dream we all had to start a village with our friends and live off the grid? Turn's out we were onto something.
Our planet can't keep up with the relentless demands of the rat race, and neither can people. Living disconnected overworked lives in overpriced, overcrowded, cities is making us all mentally and physically ill, and no amount of money can protect you. There's loneliness, depression, anxiety, addiction and worse at every level of the economic ladder.
Speaking from personal experience I came from a fairly well-off middle-class in family in London and still dropped out of school at 15, ended up in rehab for the first time at 17 and attempted suicide at 18. At 25 that pattern repeated. 10 years clean and sober later it's so abundantly clear to me that if happiness and well-being are our priorities the current system does not serve anyone's best interests irrespective of wealth.
Additionally, with advances in artificial intelligence and robotics millions and millions of jobs are disappearing. At the same time, we're also experiencing unprecedented population growth, and an estimated 1 billion people will be displaced by 2030 due to climate change (Source: World Economic Forum). There's absolutely no way job creation will ever be able to keep up with these factors.
We desperately need creative, data-driven, replicable alternatives, and the age of ego is over; it's no longer about what we can achieve as individuals but what we can accomplish as groups in service of the global community. As Helen Keller said,
"Alone we can do so little; Together we can do so much."
Things are so much worse than they need to be and the world needs to know that through collaboration instead of self-interest and the intelligent management of our resources quality of life can radically increase for everyone - WE CAN MAKE LIFE GREAT AGAIN!
Unfortunately for most people seeing is believing, and this is the catch-22 at the heart of the status quo. This campaign is about bringing together 100 global citizens who share a vision of "the more beautiful world we all know deep in our hearts", is possible to quote Charles Eisenstein, and most importantly, have the courage to do something about it.
HOW?
The goal for this campaign is to form a group of 100 visionaries - Are you one of us?
This group, #the100, will then embark on one new crowd-funding campaign together, something that's never been done before.
The mission of the new campaign will be to build the evo-village and lifestyle hub of our wildest dreams.
A replicable model of a better future for human beings. A living example of what's possible when we unite as one.
I'm talking about the kind of:
• Wellness, innovation and conscious business friendly.
• Culturally integrated, self-sustaining environment.
• Where all of a person's physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs can be met.
• And human potential and happiness can flourish.
The average crowdfunding campaign probably reaches about 1000 people and raises around $1000. Multiply that by 100, and you're already talking about enough funding to acquire a suitable property in a lot of countries. Now add the clout of 100 social media account's posting about the one campaign every day. Many crowdfunding sites reward high levels of interaction like this with extra exposure like a placement on their homepage and tweets to their followers and a campaign's potential for success starts to increase exponentially. Imagine we reach ten million people, and 10% of that ten million donates just a single dollar.
So why hasn't this happened already, the short answer is ego.
As inspiring as coming together is, it's also terrifying, and each one of us will need to face our deepest fears around not fitting in and being taken advantage of to do this successfully.
To fully engage in a group, we need to trust.
As a coach and facilitator, I'm skilled at helping to create the kind of safe environments and cultures where this is possible. It's my great passion in life and your donations will allow me to do it for this noble cause instead of just another organisation serving shareholder interests. I have kids and bills to pay and all that kind of stuff, but I see so clearly that if I continue on my egocentric path of developing my business and my career, etc. I will find myself on the wrong side of history and I just don't know how I could explain that to my two daughters in twenty years time. How would you explain it to your kids?
Your donations will be invaluable in allowing me to use my skills to do this essential work and there's lot's of rewards as well. So I'm asking you my global community to support me so I can do this; the real work, the work that is so necessary for us as human beings, so essential to our thriving as a species. We're the ones we've been waiting for, and this campaign is about catalysing a global movement of taking leadership of our lives.
