The Women's Room

Hello.
I'm Dee Cartwright and two and a half years ago I began a networking group for local women where we live, in Whitstable.
I began the group because I'd been to other groups and found them to be either a little too competitive, corporate or strident. I knew then, that I knew something.
I knew that we, as women, are different. We are collaborative, we like to be liked, and we love to talk!
Our room is different be cause those things are encouraged and over zealous ambition is 'nudged' more toward our unofficial l strap-line... make friends first - the business will come - just make friends.
The Women's Room is free. I'd like to keep it that way because I don't wish women to be excluded on the basis of affordability.
However I have realised that part of being a 'tribe', is identity. This matters in turn because a group identity will reinforce our bonds and our friendships and this consequently transfers - into our community.
We want to help this happen by having a visual identity in the room as well as online.
Thus I ask if you can help me to buy the things that will help our connection. I want our women, who have the warm feeling of a safe space and a team united in our meetings: to be subliminally made stronger by the presence of visual posters and other items that'll reinforce our unity - helped by the sight of familiar colours and images... because I know that that will extend and help our existing feeling, of belonging.
The Women's Room matters. It's free and I want to keep it that way. Because what we are and what we do, as women.... is amazing.
Thanks x
