The Truth about Linden Documentary

I have a dream of giving my home town of Linden N.J it's colonial and revolutionary history back. I have put hours upon hours of research time in. Taking out of my own pocket for a trip to D.C, equipment and software. Seeing this through is something I will do with help or not but I can really use some benefactors to acquire Talent (in particular a voice actor) licensing for photos, additional software and to recoup some of the hours I've committed to this.
Linden is a salt of the earth industrial town that was founded in the 1850's. However, was part of Elizabeth prior populated with a few villages and Farms. Most notably the farm of Abraham Clark an interesting character and signer of the Declaration of Independence. Linden at the turn of the last century was split into two. Creating the City of Linden and the Borough of Roselle. Clark's farm was in what is now Roselle. This left a vacuum in our history. One I have compiled back for this project. Linden is the only large town in this historic county that has no designations for our rich colonial past. This is not because we don't have one but because it was lost to the sands of time.
The project is shifting from research to solid writing and hope to begin the narration and host filming next month. I have acquired digital copies of many paintings but need to license quite a bit more to finish the film. individually not that expensive but it adds up. I just don't have it and since this is and I wish it to remain an independent production I'm looking to raise funds. This will be similar to Kens Burns Civil War production in look. Yet it will have a host and will be one 45 minute film to be released in it's entirety on Bitchute and You tube first.
The intended end goal is to be able to donate the film to public television in New Jersey and New York and have it be used in our local public school system. Then continue to produce more historical productions that can be used similarly for other towns, historical societies and schools.
So, a little bit about me. I am a single father with joint custody and the brunt of the financial responsibility. Providing a nice home and decent life for my daughter. This is no reflection on my dearest's mother who is a wonderful person and contributor. I only mention this because this is foremost the reason I am not able to fund this alone any more.
I was schooled at Seton Hall University in Film but have spent my adult life not working in that field. It's a story very common and I believe many know exactly what I mean. I am now a butcher and being single devoted to raising my daughter I needed an outlet for when she was at her moms. So I started making short videos explaining how to get the most for one's dollar by breaking down primals and sub primals of meat. Then I started producing and distributing quick music videos for musicians I've worked with in the music scene (my other art). I had played out on stage for many years but becoming a father I spend my musical time teaching my kid. She's pretty great at it.
Still, I kept in touch and completed two extremely low budget sub par equipment productions using microsoft photos. The most basic editing software imaginable. I'm glad I don't have to say considering that they came out ok. Rather they came out well. I will post links to those below.
I've acquired better equipment since then. Particularly I have significantly upgraded my audio recording and lenses. That's when I decided to put my education into practice and began working on this project. I do very much need to purchase and license a professional video editor and audio mixing software such as Adobe. This if I am to make the production Television suitable.
Finishing this would mean the world to my family and myself. Giving me the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on my community as well as put me in the position to embark on a second career while continuing my other passion of butchering. The Hope one day to be able to have two solid incomes we need. Sure If need be I will take a second job but in reality it's about having that while being able to be there for Rosie.
I do intend to take 8 dollars an hour for 50% of my total work hours on this because i have incurred bills directly from the project such as trains and equipment i have already purchased. I just want to be upfront which would total around 800 usd. Only to be paid if I raise enough to finish the production.
